The CAD is quiet this morning consolidating slight gains from yesterday. The lone economic release was third quarter corporate profits which were up 3.9% from second quarter 2018. With expectations of further Bank of Canada rate increases falling, markets will be watching CPI (inflation) and retail sales data tomorrow.
The USD is quiet and trading sideways as US markets are closed for American Thanksgiving. They will reopen again Friday.
The EUR is trading in a tight range with ECB Monetary Policy statements released this morning. No surprises in the release today have traders waiting for PMI data from several countries tomorrow. Focus still remains on Brexit and the fallout from the Italian budget.
Equities markets in Canada are down with the TSX losing 0.22%. Markets are closed in the USA. Crude Oil is up 0.86% this morning ($54.16) and Gold is up 0.01% ($1,228.10).
